Oakland has been my home for the last 18 years - Go Warriors! I moved here in 2006 from San Francisco to start a new ministry on the campus of UC Berkeley - Go Bears! Prior to moving to the Bay Area, I received my master’s of divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary.
My wife, Katie, and I have three children. Outside of the church and spending time with my family, you can find me riding my bike in the Oakland hills or exploring new food spots all over the city. I love it here. I feel so privileged that God has called me to live and pastor in Oakland.

Dave Lee
Pastor of Spiritual Formation
I'm a Bay Area native. I grew up in Union City and Walnut Creek, graduated from UC Berkeley, and taught high school social studies in Fremont. Before joining the amazing team here at Resurrection Oakland, I received my Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California, pastored at a church in San Jose, and planted a church in Fremont.
My wife, Susan, and I have three children. I love being a dad, being married to Susan, trying new Keto recipes, watching movies, hiking, and exploring the hidden treasures of Oakland.

Marquita Anthony
Worship Director
I was born and raised in Alabama and moved to Oakland in 2022 to join the ResOak family! I've been a worship leader for seventeen years and have been writing and producing music since 2011.
I enjoy worship in many different styles and genres and my favorite thing is leading congregations into the awareness of God's presence. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, watching movies and reading!

Amanda Collison
Director of ResKids & City Engagement
I have worked with Resurrection Oakland's children’s ministry since the church began as a small house gathering in October 2017. I love seeing the Gospel come to life for kids and families. I also find a lot of joy connecting volunteers to organizations in our city that serve Oakland’s most vulnerable.
My husband, Greg, and I moved from New York City to Oakland in 2010 and we have three children. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and hanging out at the beach with my family. Fun fact - I have had a lot of different careers…including working on Wall Street and as a Nurse Practitioner!

Katie Webster
Ministry Coordinator
I moved to Oakland from the South East in 2010 to marry Brent and have loved this city every day since. After spending the past 10 years as a full time stay-at-home-mom, volunteer and pastor’s wife I officially joined the staff at Res Oak. Before becoming a mom I worked as an Administrative Assistant, RUF Intern, Event Coordinator, and HR & Benefits Administrator. I graduated from Covenant College in 2001.
When I’m not doing something church related you will find me spending time with Brent and our three kids, attending gymnastics meets for our two daughters, walking our beloved and crazy golden retriever Bear, cooking, organizing, and enjoying the many beauties of the Bay Area.

Amelia Cassar
Communications Coordinator
I’m originally from Rocklin, CA and a graduate of UCLA (Go Bruins!), and I lived from 2015-2021 in Durham, NC where I worked as the Director of Children’s Ministry at the Church of the Good Shepherd. When my husband’s job took us back to CA, we were so excited to join the ResOak family.
I’m married to Isaac. We have two daughters and a big Siberian Husky who thinks he’s a cat. When I’m not working for ResOak, you’ll find me working as a photographer or exploring Alameda.

Ben Chow
ResYouth Coordinator
In 2019, I moved from Thousand Oaks, CA to the East Bay to study both Philosophy and Economics at Cal. Resurrection Oakland soon became my home. I was one of several who helped start our youth group in 2021, and I’m now delighted to serve as its coordinator. Helping our students navigate the ups and downs of everyday life brings me great joy.
When I’m not at ResOak, I love spending time with friends, playing soccer, playing guitar, and writing.

John Kong
RUF Campus Minister
I was born in Nashville, TN but grew up in Taiwan from the age of 3 until graduating high school. I graduated from Vanderbilt University and worked in an investment bank for 7 years before sensing God calling me to ministry. I received my Master of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California, and served as a pastor of a church in Escondido before coming up to do RUF Berkeley.
I love hanging out with students, whether it is grabbing a bite to eat, watching sports, playing games, or just chatting about life. What I love most, however, is walking alongside students as they discern and mature in their relationship with God.

Cameron Hughes
ResKids Coordinator & RUF Campus Staff
I’m originally from Birmingham, Alabama and moved to the Bay after finishing college in 2021 to work as an intern for RUF at Cal. I quickly fell in love with California and the Bay Area in particular, and decided to come on staff with RUF in 2023 along with working at ResOak part time as ResKids Coordinator. I’ve loved getting to know the kids and families of ResOak in addition to the college students! In my free time I enjoy playing guitar, reading, and trying to grow vegetables in my garden.
